ig this might be due to being gay being a big part of my identity and sense of self but the idea of a fictional utopia where sexual orientation basically doesn’t exist and everyone just likes who they like is just very alienating to me. representation politics are very weird and flawed but if we’re going to get into the types of characters i identify with in media and who’ve had a long lasting positive impact on me, they aren’t ones who just so happen to be involved with other men without it being addressed whatsoever, they’re specifically and culturally gay and that’s a part of their character and narrative. the idea of losing that for this weird, theoretical, enlightened society where same gender sex or romance just happens by chance without ever being something important or specific just makes me feel very weird and sad.
i think in a lot of ways the idea of a future where sexual orientation never comes up is a lot more comforting to straight people than anyone else. the idea of a world where gay people never talk about being gay and there is no gay culture because, why would there be, and i guess no one’s even gay at all because we’ve Moved Past That isn’t one i find comfort in at all, and it sounds pretty bad to me actually.
“look, it’s not like i hid anything, it just never came up!”
“You called yourself out for ‘straighsplaining’“
the whole bi thing goes completely over charles’ head and he keeps getting really aggro like “oh you and jake were real close huh?? too bad, sucker jake is MY best friend!”
everybody else is like “charles no”
at the end john mulaney turns out to be the embezzler they’ve been looking for
The only way Jake Overshare Peralta, Jake TMI Peralta, Jake Heart-On-His-Sleeve Peralta would fail to bring up the fact that he is bi, is if he himself were oblivious to the fact.
Come on @morthils this isn’t Gina Linetti we’re talking about. Stay in character.
The only way Jake would have had a high school boyfriend and not told Amy and Holt is if Jake himself did not realize that this dude was his boyfriend.
He would describe the relationship to Amy and she’d be like, “So you guys were dating” and he’d be like “It wasn’t like that that” and she’d be like:
😐
and Jake would be like, OH MY GOD. I HAD A BOYFRIEND IN HIGH SCHOOL. WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME THIS.
Lots of “practice kissing” was involved.
Jake’s mom is absolutely That Overly Supportive Parent with the bumper sticker and the flag who never actually like, talks to her son about it.
Can u imagine wearing nothing but ur butch’s pull over sweater and some cute panties when she comes home and seeing the look on her face and knowing she’s gonna fuck you against the wall or smth 😍😍😍

I’m so confused why he would think cookie dough would give him salmonella??? What parent told him this. There’s no chicken in there!
Two words: Raw eggs.
?? What kind of world do you live in where Raw eggs carry salmonella or are in anyway unsafe
Don’t ask me, ask them Americans. I’m an Asian just passing the word on
*deep breath* Though the risk is small, raw eggs can carry samonella.
MORE THREATENINGLY Raw wheat can carry E. Coli. However, if you don’t mind making your own cookie dough, you can easily make it safely.
Take your standard recipe. Omit the eggs. Eggs serve as a binding agent to hold the cookie together. Since we’re eating the dough raw, that’s not needed. Take the flour, put it in a pan and bake it at 350 for 7 minutes. Any E. Coli is now dead.
Just mix the rest of the ingredients together as the recipe is called for and BAM, perfectly safe edible cookie dough.
Thank u so fucking much for this wisdom
wait you’re telling my i can get E, Coli just FROM EATING FLOUR straight from the bag???
